
David Birley (Also known as “Dave the Osteo”) was one of the first graduates from Victoria University’s 5 year Osteopathic program 19 years ago. He did this after completing a bachelor of science majoring in biochemistry and physiology.
He was the first Osteopath in Australia to undertake all courses in Clinical Pilates and opened New Zealand’s 3rd Pilates studio. David ran this with his wife for 5 years, before choosing to relocate back to Geelong.
With 3 children, he splits his time between clinic work, doing family activities and riding his bike.
He is always trying to improve or discover ways of improving his ability to help people, which has led him down a path that includes undertaking study in:

- Specific Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA)
- Dry Needling (GEMT)
- Anatomy in Motion (AiM)
- Proprioceptive Deep Tendon Reflex (P-DTR)

A lot of acronyms really!! The combination of the above gives David Birley a very broad background in diagnosis, treatment & management of multiple presenting complaints.
He has spent considerable time studying Biofrequency therapy having completed all that “Amino Neuro Frequency” Therapy (ANF) has to offer, and Quanta Therapies in the USA.
