If you’ve been to our clinic, and especially if you’re female, you get the option to wear a gown.
These gowns are super colourful, and bright – and we’re often asked – where do you get these from?
We get them from Cambodia.
Port Macquarie osteopath Kim Ritchie – raised funds with a few friends to help women and children who were vulnerable to human trafficking in Cambodia.
As part of this she met seamstresses who were able to sew whatever they wanted to, and Kim liased with them over a few years – and enabled them to start their own business – with funds directly from sales of gowns.
This means – no “middlemen” of sorts, which means more money is able to be channeled directly to the people who need it most.
We love these gowns, and our patients that use them are disappointed if they have to use our “plain” gowns!
